Change of Plans

So we had intended to spend the weekend in Montana, however, since Tony's on medical leave, he can't fly. He was supposed to be back on light duty but the doctor had to list his restrictions and that was sent back because the doctor wasn't specific enough...so...he's still on leave. However, he did go in last Wednesday and get his cast off and his sutures were removed. He got a cool walking boot. And he started physical therapy. Go Tony, go!

The sun was out at 6:30am and I wanted to be out in it. It's been gorgeous this weekend. I even laid in the sun with a friend while our boys played for an hour or two. It reminded me of how I used to "study" with friends on the lawn by the Carillon Bell Tower at BYU to get sun.
So today, I had to get the boys breakfast and such, but it definitely turned into a yard work day. It was great. After we went shopping, the boys ate lunch outside. I mowed two lawns and Tony and Max built this awesome bi-plane.
Max posed for a pic later that day

Then we pressure washed. Oh my. I officially want a pressure washer. They are amazing. Here's Tony doing our walkway. It makes such a difference.
Gotta love wet, mildewy Washington

The boys played outside and rode bikes. We were outside almost all day. It was so perfect. Then we enjoyed another visit from our new duck friends during dinner. The same male and female come and pick at the birdseed that the birds have knocked onto the ground. We're still thinking of names. Max suggested "Max and Debbie". Tony crushed my idea of Mr. and Mrs. Quackers, so we're still thinking.
The male is on our fence and the female is on the ground under the bird feeder.

Then it was finally time to dye eggs. Max had been waiting and waiting. He's slightly excited as you can tell.

There will be more Easter celebrating tomorrow of course. Max is becoming more familiar with the reason for Easter. It's exciting to teach the kids our love for the Savior and His atonement.
