I've always wondered about dreams

Last night I had the most horrific dream to memory and I'm blogging about it because it was a dream that makes you appreciate your blessings. In this dream, I only had Max and I had to give him away to save his life. I was on this ship with other people and he was already not "mine" anymore even though I could still kind of be with him. I just remember experiencing a very real (in my dream) physical pain that felt like I was being crushed in some kind of vice. It was even more intense than childbirth. I've never felt like that. When I woke up, I was kind of in this daze because it had seemed so real and the physical pain of losing my baby boy had seemed so real. I am so appreciative of my family that I can't even say. I had a very small glimpse of how difficult it was for Heavenly Father to allow His Only Begotten Son to suffer and die to atone for mankind for which I will always be eternally grateful. I also had a small glimpse of the selflessness of birth mothers who place their children for adoption when their circumstances are such that adoption would give their children a better life.

Why we love the Y

We love the YMCA. It's huge and has fun classes. One of the classes is even for Max. He does toddler gym where kids get full access to the gymnastics gym with added toddler toys. Max loves the basketball hoop and floor trampoline the best.

Pool Party with Friends

Last Saturday was the perfect day to spend the time at the pool. We joined the Mathis family and some others to have fun in the pool, have a pinata and play some football. One of the guys there said that Max looks just like Peyton Manning as a baby (quarterback for the Indianapolis Colts). I haven't found pics yet to see for myself. This is the first time Max has done a pinata in about 7 months so he gets it more although he doesn't understand the survival of the fittest part of it. ; )Here are some pics and videos.

Laughing

Our little Ryan is 11 weeks old today and decided to pick today to start laughing. It is so amazingly sweet to hear your baby laugh for the first time. It's too bad we weren't able to catch it on film. He is such a fun person. He's a definite mama's boy and loves to be cuddled more than anything. Happy 11 week birthday my little prince!

Friends Help Us Try New Things

Max has definitely not tried this on his own but with a little help from his friends:

Ryan's 2 1/2 Month Check up

Ryan's check up was a little late, but he is certainly good and healthy. He's starting out bigger than his big brother was at this age. He is 24.5 inches (89th percentile), 14.5 lbs. (91st percentile) and his head is 43 cm (97th percentile). Poor Ryan also received an oral vaccine and 3 injected vaccines. Here is how he was doing the next day:

A weekend Away

Do you ever feel like you haven't just relaxed for a few days? It's been a busy year. We even moved and had a baby at the same time so some extended rest and relaxation was a must. So when Teri called saying her aunt has a cabin on a lake and would we come, it was a definite YES! A few friends couldn't make it and we wished they were there, but the Eppersons, Menzies, Whites and Mapengos and a GREAT time! The cabin was a house right on Mason Lake (about an hour away). I jet skied for the first time (so did Max) and lived vicariously through the others who wake boarded. I got to see Tallie's mad skills. There was swimming, snorkeling, tubing, boating and lounging. There was even swimming under the stars. It was beautiful! Good friends and good times! Thanks again Mapengos!
