Fjelstrom Family Visit--Part 6

Today was a travel and set up tents day.  Then it was all about exploring after that.  The pacific northwest is absolutely beautiful and it was fun to spend time on the coast.

Here we are leading the way to our campsite.  Danielle had put on Night at the Museum so Jase, Ev, Cade and Max were watching that on the two hour drive to our campsite.

We passed by Lake Crescent which is on our list of places to camp.  It is gorgeous.

Our campsite was on a bluff overlooking the beach.  It was amazing.

This is on the beach looking up to where the campsite is.

After a dinner of frito chili bowls, we went to Kalaloch beach to see the tree of life.  There were all of these smooth rocks on the beach which the kids used to build little cities and creations.

The Kalaloch Tree of Life is suspended between two cliffs forming a cave under the roots.  It's incredible.

Christian took the rocks and formed them into a line to make a choo choo.

The kids found a jelly fish.

Other memories included Jase's camping chair collapsing and him falling into the fire.  Somehow he held onto the chair instead of bracing his fall and Danielle was right there and got him right out, so it turned out to be no big deal when it could have been a huge deal.  I'm so grateful for tender mercies.
We were grateful for the Rigtrups (Danielle's grandparents) who are the camp hosts this summer and they hooked us up with our campsites.
Rachel, Justin, Haley and Colton made it to our campsite late that night so we were able to explore with them the next day.
