Boehms' Candy Factory

We decided to go to the Boehm's Chocolate Factory for a fun end of summer field trip.  It had been many years since we'd been and I love it because it's a chalet.  An Austrian who escaped the Nazis by skiing over the alps to Switzerland and then immigrating to the U.S., established a candy factory in Issaquah because he heard the pacific northwest was close to beauty of his home country.

Hand dipping chocolates is a dying art.

There was even a picturesque chapel with a copy of Michaelangelo's the Creation of Adam on the ceiling.
