My brother is a Leutinent Colonel in the Air Force and the Commander of the Space Launch Squadron. I took this picture so I could remember that. ; ) He has a pretty cool job and we had fun being a part of a rocket launch. The Air Force launches rockets to release satellites into space. We were able to see a Delta 4,2 rocket launch, a GPS satellite.
Below is David sitting where he does during a launch, only when we were there, he was with us.
Countdown!
Here is a fun highlight video made by United Launch Alliance
And here is my cute niece:
Afterwards we were able to hang out on base and play games.
Uncle Dave gave us coins and patches!
We took pictures of memorabilia from the past.
And a few more pictures. :)
We stopped by the pond at NASA again and this time we saw an alligator out of the water. Then we saw it scramble in the water and there were two others next to it that we couldn't see before the first one moved. Woo!
And we went to the beach again of course!
Tony had to say goodbye to the Atlantic.
Evelyn loved Grandma's necklace!
We even saw a kickball game across the street!
What a fun and exciting day!
Here is Jase's rocket launch! :)
