So Tony turned another year older and wiser too. In our family we try to do birthday weekends. It should never be just a day, right? So the original plan was to take the boys on their first flight with daddy. However, the winds and rain came so we have to save that surprise for another day. Plan B was the Museum of FLight was hosting the 2012 Northwest Scale Modelers show.
Look who we got to meet! I'll admit my inner Star Wars nerd made me feel like a little girl again.
The boys got free snap-together models: and SR-71 and an F-14.
Here's Ryan sitting in an SR-71.
Looking at models.
Max impressed some people with his knowledge of the different airplanes.
Max's turn to fly.
And Tony gets in on the action.
That night we went to our first roller derby. I've never gone to a sporting event and not known what was going to go on, but well, we learned a lot. It was fun! I think the names the girls choose are awesome!
The next day we had Tony's dinner and sang to him. In all the preparations I forgot candles, oops. So, Tony turned 3? But it was a snickerdoodle cake to steer away from the normal cheesecake. His favorite cookie is a snickerdoodle. This morning (his actual birthday) we went furniture shopping and picked out a bunkbed. But he did sleep in and get to spend time with the fam before he went to work. We love Tony!
