Science Fair 2018

All three boys took part in the Science Fair this year.  It was a requirement for all 5th graders and Max had the opportunity to work on his project during class time.  Our kids picked thier projects adn did the research but alas, we were finishing the projects the day before.

Max's project was to see if plants grew better with positive talk vs. negative talk.  I laughed so hard when I overheard him telling Plant B, "You look just like a weed!"

It was nice to have Grandpa Dan to help cut out word strips for the displays.

Sometimes after a busy day, I look at the cats and just laugh.

The next night was the S.T.E.A.M open house at the school.  Here is Jase proudly displaying his science fair project about air pressure.

Evelyn wanted to try her hand at controlling the robot.  The high school robotics club brought over a display.

There was also a display for Max's Robotics First Lego club.

When we were picking up balloons for the blue and gold banquet,
the balloon lady told us that helium contracts when cold.  Ever since then, Ryan wanted to do his experiment on helium balloon.

Getting the robot to do his bidding.  Is that his tongue sticking out?

Ryan showing off his classroom.

Max showing off his research.

And Jason takes his turn at the robot!
