Daffodills and Sunbeams
Our church ward is lucky to have one of the sweetest "Sunbeam" teachers imaginable. She has been teaching sunbeams for about 30 years (there were some years she didn't teach, but for the most part, she has). She's been teaching sunbeams the whole 5 years we've lived in Renton and is now teaching Jase after teaching Ryan and Max. Her birthday is this month and I've been feeling like it was important to do something to show her how much we appreciate her. We got 70 daffodills and passed them out to the children while she was distracted in the hallway, hee hee, we're tricky. The children sang "Happy Birthday" and "Jesus Wants me for a Sunbeam". The adults were in tears. I'm so glad she felt appreciated and loved. She certainly has done so much for children and families with her love and dependability.
