While I was watching my friends' kids while they went to the temple, 3 of them were invited over to Maili Black's house for a snowman party. Then when we went to pick them up, the rest of the kids joined in a snowball fight and making sock snowmen. The Atkin's car broke down so instead of going to the temple, they had to work at getting their car situation taken care of. When I was walking the kids home, it was windy and rainy and when I turned the corner and could see thier house, all of the lights went out. I turned back to the Black's hosue since their house was warm with bodies and they already had food cooking. They had invited us over for Mac and Cheese and we weren't going to take them up on it until the power went out. So we ate Mac and Cheese until the Atkins were picked up and we walked home.
At home Max was really helpful getting candles. The kids worked really well together. I've grateful for a gas fireplace. We got blankets out and had a living room sleepover. We listened to the audio of the Book of Mormon for awhile because we have the goal to finish it by the end of the year. Ev looked so funny when she fell asleep. Great memories. The power was out for 3 hours. When it came back on our doorbell rang (just because the power came back on, nobody was there). Then Tony came home from work and I told him we were sleeping on the couches with the kids. It was a fun sleepover and plus, we had piles of sorted laundry on our bed that I didn't want to put away in the dark.
