It's salmon spawning time in our Cedar River. We've been learning about the lifecycle of the Sockeye Salmon and we decided to try to see them as well.
Checking the river.
Riding on the river trail.
Checking out another spot. We just saw a few salmon this time so we decided to try again the next day...
and we saw a bunch.
This is a salmon trap they use to catch fish to take to the hatchery.
We also checked out an awesome spot by the library which rests over the river.
Adn then we played in the park.
Look mom, no feet!
The boys loved our salmon adventures. They love seeing them splash as they swim up the shallow areas. We'll have a few more salmon advenures before spawning season is over.
