Parent involvement is hugely important in schools to help support programs that suffer because of budget cuts. I wanted to help support the Reflections Art Contest at the middle school so more kids would get involved. Here's the bulletin board I created. We offered student store coupons for every entry. We got 11 entries. Last year it was 2. That's an improvement and I hope that the more incentives we give for kids (the kids who entered are getting some pretty nice gifts), the more kids will know about the program and it will grow even more. Creative kids are intelligent kids.
