Victoria Weekend, Part 2

Queen Victoria

Eating breakfast at John's Place which was featured on a cooking show.  I had smoked meat and eggs.  Gotta eat like the locals.

Next stop was the whale watching tour on a zodiak!  So so so excited!

Sea Lions

We saw 10-12 Transient Orcas!  They are so beautiful and so amazing!  My camera didn't come out much because I wanted to just enjoy, but I had to try to get some pics.

The male dorsal fin can grow up to 6 feet tall!

Our tour guide took us out a little longer than the other whale watching boats because nobody had to be back at a certain time.  Then he noticed storm clouds coming in and we got to learn firsthand about how quickly things can turn when you're out in the ocean.  During the ride back we all had our hoods and gathered around our faces.  We had rain coming down and the salty spray making us cold as we rode along.  It was awesome!

Back home the boys took the kiddos on a bike ride, played at the park and played games.

Becky introduced me to Tim Horton's Doughnuts.  Had to have maple of course! ; )

We walked and talked and explored shops.

Check out the darling feature on this light post in front of the Empress.

One more round of tea before we ride the Clipper back.
