Just Like Uncle Mike

While we were putting together this puzzle, Max said he is going to serve his mission "here" in this lighthouse (Long Island, New York), which is where Uncle Mike served. I guess we'll see in the year 2026 (yikes)!

(disclaimer: the puzzle has the island up by Maine but the Statue of Liberty is also over by N. Carolina, so it is Long Island! :)

Airplane Mania

We visited the Museum of Flight. Unfortunately, Tony had to go to Billings for work and couldn't make it. But we had both sets of grandparents and Uncle Doug along for the fun.

Not Really an Afterthought

So, I was really excited to give Tony a remote-controlled helicopter "from the boys" so they could all enjoy it together. When the boys and I go walking, we've seen a man flying airplanes and the boys are fascinated. So, I hid the present so it could be one of the final ones and I could surprise Tony. However, in all of the hustle and bustle and wanting everyone to be happy and thinking about Christmas dinner prep, I totally spaced it until 10 that night. So, we waited until the next morning so the boys could see it. They flew it all day! It was a hit!

Christmas Eve 2010

We read the Christmas story from Luke 2 and the boys acted out the story with their Little People nativity. Ryan insisted on wearing his puffy coat and the boys fought over the figurines. And then we sang a few carols.

Snowflake Lane

We also visited Snowflake Lane at Bellevue Square Mall. Since it was our first time, we learned a lot about planning dinner and where to stand, but we still had fun with the boys. There were fun people to visit with.
