Tony and I had planned a getaway together. I was going to join him for a long weekend during his work trip to San Antonio. Then San Antonio experienced some freezing weather and power outages. Tony's trip was delayed since his hotel would have no power. It was delayed just long enough that I couldn't work the getaway around the mid-winter break. Sooo, we planned a long weekend at Uncle Ken's cabin. He was generous and kind and we got to stay there on Tony's actual birthday. We played in the snow, hiked Staircase rapids, enjoyed the beauty of Lake Cushman, the kindness of Ken and Leanne, we ate clam chowder and explored. It was so fun!
