We were disappointed that our friend wasn't doing a Christmas tree lot this year. Trees can be expensive so when we were offered a free artificial tree, we jumped on the chance. Mom, I KNOW you're in shock, but we didn't want to worry about a real tree while we were in Cali. We'll still get a real tree some years. The only caveats were that the tree was in Snoqualmie and that the attached lights weren't working. A family road trip to Snoqualmie? No problem! And...I have a husband who can fix pretty much anything, so away we went. Grandma Kate was working in town so she came with us. First we visited Snoqualmie Falls. The falls were so powerful that the mist got us pretty good.

We learned that the Peregrine Falcon is the fastest animal in the world and they nest in the cliffs of the falls.
