Trick or Treating 2015

It was raining outside so I didn't bother with face paint but they still looked so cute!

Our trick or treating friends!

Then we watched, "It's a Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown" that Danielle brought over.

Everyone had a warm bath and the kids checked out their loot and got to eat one piece.  We're saving most of it for gingerbread houses. :)

Church Halloween Carnival 2015

The boys and I had a fun time at the church carnival.  It was during nap time after a busy morning and what would be a busy night so Evelyn took a nap.

Our favorite part was the Mad Science Lab that the primary put together.  I have some talented friends who helped make it awesome!  If the pictures are dark and blurry it's because it was dark and there was a fog machine too. :)

The kids would take a "treasure rock" and watch it fizz away until the treasure appeared.

Some friends made a light box so that these beakers on the left were lit up with different colors.

The table of experiments

Friends made this light board with toggle switches so the kids could control a light pattern.

This is a homemade lite brite which looks really cool in real life.

Jase loved putting his hands in the gooey gak!

All kids loved putting their hands in the gooey gak.

There were lots of fun rooms including a just dance station, spooky stories, bingo, carnival games, cookie decorating and more.

The kids also got to play musical chairs which was fun!

School Halloween Carnival 2015

We were given this ladybug costume over a year ago and I looked forward to when Evelyn could be her cute little ladybug self.  I happened upon this bumblebee costume for Jason and it went perfect with Evelyn.  They also like to be ladybugs and bumblebees with their hooded towels after their baths.  I'll have to get a picture of that sometime too (from the back ; )

These two!  So cute!

Max wanted to be a cowboy and Ryan wanted to be a jet pilot.

Off to the school carnival we went!

Jase and Evelyn did the cupcake walk before daddy took them home and I helped with the cupcake walk for the second half of the carnival.

Buddy pic!

Pumpkins and Pumpkin Guts!

This pumpkin was one that Max was able to carve at scouts.  It started going bad on us so this clone trooper had to be thrown out early.

Ryan collected a lot of the pumpkin seeds, cleaned them and used them for a math lesson he gave all of us.  I wish I'd gotten a video of Jason helping me carve his pumpkin.  I asked him what kind of pumpkin he wanted and he said, "Scawy!" so I tried to get him to show me what a "scawy" face looked like but every time he made a face, he couldn't help but giggle and his cute little smile and happy eyes did not look scary at all.  Then he decided he wanted a happy pumpkin which made everything much easier. :)

The Castle

Evelyn has discovered the castle.  She and Jason love to play together.  I tried to take a video of them playing together but they stopped talking so I had to get a little more involved than I wanted but they'll do it sans camera.

Max Earns his Bobcat Award!

The scouts received superhero training and their siblings benefited from it.
