A,B,C, D, E, F, G...H, I, "J"

Max is really into the A,B,Cs right now. He loves to sing the song which of course he doesn't get 100% right, but he does pretty good. I love how he ends it by singing, "next time DON'T you sing with me!"

He also loves this alphabet puzzle that he has and tonight he was putting it together and saying the letters. We talked about how M was for Max and Mommy. Then he picked up the J and I said J is for Grandpa J. He got really excited about that. "J is for Grandpa J", "J is for Grandpa J".

The things I find and learn.

Max in his infinite wisdom has taught me that Satsuma oranges can drive a fire truck. I feel enlightened!

And a video:

We're Happy to Announce an Addition to Our Family!!!!

Her name is Ella, she's 15 months old and she's adorable! And by "our" family, I mean "our" Leach family. She's our newest niece! She's in foster care and will now be in relative care while she waits to be adopted by my brother Dave and his wife Casi! We got to meet Ella while they were in Oregon helping transition her from her foster home to their care. We got to spend time with Anna (7) and Caiden (2 1/2) too. We went to Jantzen Beach mall where Dave and I have fond memories of riding the carousel. We played at a park, swam at the hotel and had a great time. Caiden had a great jet airplane that Max wanted very much so at one point the cousins didn't get to play with ANY airplanes. They did really well playing together though! Anna is a great helper with little Ella. They are a beautiful family. Here's the only down side to the weekend; I was horrible at taking pictures. So, here are a few snapshots of the fun weekend that included great visits with Phil and Geniel (thanks again!) and (Great) Grandma and Grandpa Epperson. Max still talks about the choo choo that Great Grandma found upstairs for him to play with. I think she's pretty much a hero in his eyes! :)

Mom Make Max Happy

Oh the things that must be recorded for posterity.

I'm singing songs as we drive to the YMCA today and I start singing a children's song from church, "I am Like a Star". Max says, "Mom Make Max Happy". Hey that's a lot better then when he says, "No song, Mom! No song!"

Thank You Max

for running over to read me a story when I have to use the potty, just like I read you stories when you go potty on the toilet. What a sweetie!
