General Conference 2020

General Conference was amazing.  Because of Covid-19, all of the choir performances were pre-recorded.  Only the speakers who were speaking were in the room and they were all sitting 6 feet away from each other.  It was different for sure, but all of the talks were wonderful.

We watched with Grandma and Grandpa Epperson in Reno.

President Nelsen spoke first.  He talked about how it is not only important to store up our physical reserves but our spiritual reserves--faith truth and testimony.

President Ballard--What offering will I give the Lord?  We should be courageous and share our offering with someone and take the time to do it.

Elder James R. Rasband--Peace came to Alma when he repented and pondered on the teachings of his father and repented of his sins.  Alma thought of his own repentance but then agonized over those he had led away.  Restoring what we cannot restore is the very purposed of the atonement of Jesus Christ.

Sister Joy D. Jones--Women wear many hats but don't have to wear them all at once.

Elder Neal L. Anderson--(served his mission in France)--Revelation or sudden strokes of ideas or a pure flow of intelligence.  How do I hear Him?  I need to take steps to hear Him better and Hear him more often.  Embrace your sacred memories, write them down, and share them with your family.  These sacred memories help your testimony stay strong.

Elder Douglas D. Holmes--Principles of the Children and Youth program are to deepen testimonies in our youth and children.  Relationships--we are not expected to walk teh covenant path alone.  Appreciate each other's gifts and challenges.  To effectively serve others, we must see them as Heavenly Father sees them.

Elder Eyring--The Lord's gospel will go to every country.  Even an unbelieving world will recognize the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Elder Ulisses S. Soares--testimony of the Book of Mormon

Elder John A. McClure--There may be times when our only hope is in Jesus Christ.  Focus on Him.

Bishop Gerald Causse--Believe in Christ

Elder Gerrit W. Gong.  Next week is Palm Sunday.  People took palm branches and waved them and laid them own as the Savior came.  At) Easter we sing Hallelujah (praise ye the Lord, Jehovah).  The coming of Elijah to the Kirtland temple fulfilled Malachi's prophecy.  Jewish families celebrate Passover, waiting for Elijah to come.  Elijah did come as promised.  He brought the sealing authority to bind families on earth and in heaven.  Spiritual Restoration.

Laudy Kaouk--Don't hesitate to ask for a blessing when we need extra guidance.  Some of us suffer with depression, anxiety, addiction and feelings of worthlessness.  Patriarchal blessings can bless us.  We can turn to it in when we feel sad or lonely.  It reminds me of my gifts and the blessings I will receive if I live worthy.  Patriarchal blessings are a liahona for each of us.

Enzo Petelo--To serve like Joseph did, we should qualify to use the priesthood power.  We are given the opportunity to administer like angels.  You can become a beacon of light to all tose around you.  We must place ourselves in places and situations where He would want to be present.  We must not wait for those who need our aid to seek us out, we must go to him.  Repent each day.

Sister Jean B. Bingham--Adam and Eve supported each other's strengths.  They taught their children what they needed to know to return to Heavenly Father.  The Relief Society organization was unlike any other woman's organization of the day.  How does understanding priesthood power help our lives.  When men and women work together, ew can accomplish so much more than working separately.  We need women and men to be united.

Elder Oaks--

Elder Ronald A. Rasband--prophecies are being fulfilled as the church meets with leaders from differnet faiths and different nations.

Sister Bonnie Corden--We need to focus our light so others can find Christ.

Elder Jeffrey R. Holland--Marriage is for time and all eternity.  greater devotion to the two great commandments

President Nelson spoke with such power this morning.  He said that the first presidency and the apostles reveal a new proclamation.  He read it from the Sacred Grove where Jesus  and Heavenly Father appeared to Joseph Smith.  We then did the Hosanna shout adn sang, "The Spirit of God".  It was so powerful.  I feel so blessed to have knowledge of the restoration of the gosepel of Jesus Christ.  kl
