Easter Sunday--Lake Jane Friend Egg Hunt

The older kids' hunt was at our island and it was a little further away from the Chalcraft's dock to get good pictures.  Afterwards we had a White Bunny Gift Exchange that I copied from Ashlee's idea for the YW.

We love these neighbors of ours!

Evelyn and Hayden went back to the island to see if any eggs had been missed.

Easter Sunday--General Conference

I woke up to see the "sunrise" which means seeing the sky lighten because of all the trees.  It was so cool to be outside listening to all of the animal sounds.  I even heard an owl amongst the geese, ducks, various other birds and bullfrogs.  Watching conference was wonderful as always.  It's hard to put into words what conference weekend is.  When I was a teenager I thought it was boring.  It was 8 plus hours of people speaking--sleep inducing for sure.  As an adult, it has changed.  I feel more alive after listening to conference and hearing the words of God taught through some of his leaders.  Men and women from all over the world share their insights and testimonies.  It's wonderful.  It does make for more casual church as far as how we dress and how we snuggle with our dogs, but it's pretty awesome.

Before conference started, we finished getting ready for our Easter feast.

Pre-Easter Fun

Peep the gnomes and the Halloween-murder-scene egg and then the cute missionary egg.

2026 Daffodill Parade

Daffodill Pre-Show at Sunset Stadium

This year all three middle school bands made one large mega band.  The two high schools marched together in a HS mega band.  It was pretty cool.

And yes, they thought it was cringey of me to take a photo of this.  But, I'm a mom and I want to capture all of the moments.

April Fool's Day

Our friends and neighbors, the Fauxes got us with a great April Fool's Prank.  They left a Krispy Kreme box on our doorstep and inside was vegetables.  Here is a screen shot of Jack leaving it on our porch.  The video showed him high stepping away like an old timey burglar.

So I sent this text the next morning.

And the best part was that Catherine texted me the next night just realizing that her kids had played a prank on us.  She hadn't been in on it.
