Visiting Renton Friends

I got to hang out with Amy and her boys while we handed out art from our spring fundraiser.

Then I got to go get an xray of my kidneys while Ryan, Ev and Jase hung out with the Champers.

Then Jase and Ry had their well child checks. Ryan was lucky/unlucky enough to get shots this visit.  Yay for Middle School!

Half-Baked

Jase and I were reading aloud from a book of poetry by Roald Dahl.  The poem was called the Ant-Eater about a spoiled boy who wants an peculiar pet.

The beginning of the poem goes like this:  Some wealthy folks from U.S.A., Who lived near San Francisco Bay, Possessed an only child called Roy, A plump and unattractive boy - Half-baked, half-witted and half-boiled, But worst of all, most dreadfully spoiled. Whatever Roy desired each day, His father bought him right away —

Jason paused and said, "Wait a second, he would be one-third baked, one-third witted and one-third boiled. Haha!  My little Math-brained boy knew that those fractions didn't add up.

Rainy Day Fishing

The rain was off and on yesterday but Jimmy, Max, Ryan and Jase kayaked over to the islands to play.  Later Tony and Matt when fishing, then Jimmy and Max.  Jimmy caught a great fish.  And then the rain came pouring down.  We ended the night with hamburgers and watching Artemis Fowl at the Hanes' house.

Unpacking and Organizing

There's been a whole lot of unpacking and organizing and not a lot of pictures but here are a few.

Jase Turns 8!!!

Jase wanted pancakes for breakfast.  Tony and I took him to Sonic for lunch and then he wanted to fish and go out on the boats.  Because fishing was such fun, we didn't get hamburgers started in time so we had Wendy's for dinner!  Then he got to open his presents.  We love this little toothless wonder!

Out on the Water

I was going to wait for a few days before I let the kids go on the water.  I wanted to make sure things were organized and unpacked.  But the water was calling, the weather was great and the kids needed a break.  It was so nice to see them enjoy the water.

Moving Day

Moving Day was busy and tiring!  We had an amazing team of movers who were so nice!

Kate and I took the kids to the Hanes' and then we were at the new house to get ready for the movers.

Grandma even got the kids' beds made for them!
