Thanks to grandparents, our kids earned enough money during our walk-a-thon fundraiser that they got to attend a pool party! I could only watch since my suit was already packed and moved to a friend's garage. The boys had a lot of fun.

Primary Program 2014
This year's primary theme is "Familes are Forever". The program was beautiful and the kids did such a good job. We had them practice the songs and earn legos for a lego party.
The kids sang the song, "Baptism" which is beautiful and there was a verse with hand chimes. My chorister had seen the idea to have comment cards available for everyone in the audience to share with the kids what they learned from the program and how they felt. This is where we got the idea.
After the program was over, the kids got to celebrate all of their hard work. My counselor who wrote the program and was in charge of the whole thing read the comments to the kids. They talked about how they felt. Then I did a little teacher appreciation. They had lego cookies for treats and then they got to make lego creations. My secretary and her husband had found instructions for making lego temples online. The kids built all kinds of creations and it was a lot of fun.
We also had a video of Joshua and the Battle of Jericho made out of lego figures that we showed.
It was such a wonderful program and a fun celebration!
Thanksgiving 2014
My parents were able to come up the day before Thanksgiving so they could help us with the move, cleaning and unpacking. On Thanksgiving day we did none of that. :) We huffed and puffed before we stuffed. We had some church friends join us. The kids played wall ball and played on the playground. There was even some soccer going on.
Then we had dinner with some dear friends, the Olsons and the Hanes.
We had much to be thankful for. :)

HALLOWEEN 2014
We carved pumpkins for FHE. Jason has taken on a new love of drawing so he loved drawing on his pumpkin. He wanted to draw on everyone else's too though. :)
Today was Halloween day and I got to volunteer in the boys' school today which is always a favorite thing of mine. I'll never forget how Ryan wanted me to sit with his class during lunch and told me that he loved me. Oh, if only that uninhibited love for his mother would never go away.
Tonight we joined friends for trick-or-treating in the soon-to-be-our neighborhood.
And the always evident proof that it's hard to get a perfect picture of four wiggly kids who are fascinated by the mini strobe light in the pumpkin. :)
