Epperson Family News!

All the boys are excited.  Tony's holding Jase and if you look closely at me, you can see...

Epperson Baby #4 is joining our family around August 27th!

And we know what we're having!  Today was our ultrasound!

In Tony's family there are 3 boys and 1 girl (Stacey is #2 in the sibling group).

In my famiy there are 3 boys and 1 girl (I'm #4)

So after 3 boys, I've been so excited to find out if we were going to do the 3 boy, 1 girl thing.  I'd be totally excited either way, but just wanted to know.

We askd the boys what they thought.

Max said he thinks we're having a girl because Heavenly Father doesn't want us to have four boys (haha, sure).

He said that if we have a girl we should name her Audrey and if we have a boy, his name should be Nathan.

Ryan has said in the past that he wanted a girl but today he said he wanted to boy because he wanted to have blue cupcakes.  If it's a boy, he wants to name it Ryan and if it's a girl, baby Alanna. They both said that they will take good care of a brother or sister.

If only our scanner was working--I'd scan the ultrasound pics.  Truthfully, the baby wasn't wanting to show off today so they're not so good.

Here are the boys finding out (Jase was asleep)...

P.S. Jase will be 14 months when the baby comes.

P.P.S. We didn't expect this baby to come as soon as she did, but we feel incredibly blessed and are over the moon excited.

Jase is 10 months old!

Jase turned 10 months on the 8th.  He is such a fun baby.  The boys are constantly wanting to be with him.  In fact, we now give them "days" to sit by Jase at the table.  On even days Max can sit by him and on odd days, it's Ryan's turn.  They also take turns sitting by him in the van.  It's kind of ridiculous but at the same time it's sweet that they love him so much.  Jase is crawling on his hands and knees now although he does resort to a fast tummy scoot thing that is hilarious when he wants speed.  He throws his head back and charges.  I need to get that on video.  We went to the Kid's Museum and there are some fun pics of Jase enjoying the infant/toddler room and the older boys are enjoying the water area which is their favorite.

Beach Weekend--Part 3

We took a trip to Lincoln City but I didn't get any pictures there.
Here are some pics from one of our many beach explorations.
"I have the power"
We found this trench already dugout.  Of course, Max had to pretend they were fighting in WWII.

Back at the house

The road to the beach
At the other end of the road is this golf course.

Here's a science experiment we brought to do.  Tornado in a bottle.

A little bit of quiet time.  I thought this was such a cute pic of daddy and son, even blurry.

Back to the beach.  Low tide!

We get to play at Proposal Rock!

Cutest beach baby!

Daddy always makes exploring fun.

Ryan getting brave.

There's always a geo-cache to be found.
Pacific City.

And a fun deer sighting on our way back.  There were so many animals to see on the drive down--through the Oregon country-side and then we passed an Estuary.  So fun.

Beach Weekend--Part 2

We had so much fun this weekend.  I have so many pictures and I can't choose so here they all are.  In fact, I'll just make one more post after this.

This is the beach access that's just down the street from the beach house.  It's beautiful.  We opted for the more protected beach which was still close.
We liked riding bikes there.

I am aware this is an awful pic.  I was figuring the reverse picture-taking thing on my phone, but...who cares about that when you run into a mission friend on the beach?  Seriously!  I have not seen Hannah since our BYU days (senior year after the mission).  She's from Salem but lives in New York and was visiting family.  Here we were visiting Neskowin for the first time and we saw each other.  This beach is her favorite beach and so she brought her cute family here.  She has kids nearly the same ages as all three of mine.  What a fun reunion!
The boys getting ready for some lunch.

Enjoying conference together.  Lots of different toys to keep the boys occupied when their attention was waning.  It was seriously paradise to combine one of my favorite weekends of spiritual feasting with enjoying the majesty of God's ocean.

If only...we'd buy this one in a heartbeat.  We feel pretty lucky though to have generous cousins who are willing to share.
