Happy Independence Day!

We wanted a really simple 4th of July since we've had a lot going on, so, it was simple and absolutely perfect. We had the Schow family over for a BBQ and then we drove to their new home in Bremerton for dessert and to watch the fireworks. It was great! The kids loved playing, flying paper airplanes and doing fireworks.

The Fishing Trip Gone Awry

Tony and a co-worker wanted to go fishing this weekend to an awesome lake in the mountains near North Bend. Alas, they met super early on a Saturday morning to find that the forestry roads are closed until the 5th (concern about fireworks maybe???). So they did some off roading instead. Here are Tony's pics:

A Few Stats

These cute boys saw the doctor this week for their well child exams. Ryan's was a bit late, but that's the way the ocokie has crumbled this year. Ryan the Lion weighs 23 lbs. and is in the 47th percentile. He is 29.6 inches tall and in the 25th percentile. His head is 50.25 cm and in the 99th percentile. Mighty Max is 34 lbs and in the 73rd percentile. He is 38 in. tall and in the 56th percentile. Starting at 3 they take their blood pressure instead of measure their head. They are growing well and no concerns other than Ryan might have some type of allergy, he's always got some amount of congestion. They are both my darlings.

Fun Night

I invited a few friends over that I don't see often enough to have a girl's night. It's fun to just hang out. Here are the pics of the cute girls.

As the Weekend Wound to a Close

Yep, I take a lot of pictures, but I love remembering our travels.

Sunday morning was relaxing and the boys got a ride in Uncle Ken's cart. Ryan loved it.

On our way home from LaPine, we stopped by Detroit Lake where Tony has fond memories and had a picnic lunch.
I love that Ryan throws his head back to laugh, even when there's food in his top four teeth

My Three!

Happy Birthday to my sweet Max! He got to spend it camping with family! He even let mom break away to do a half-marathon on his Big day. What a guy! Here are some fun shots of his birthday and a video! Thanks again Uncle Ken and Aunt Dorothy for letting us camp with you! It made a very fun birthday for Max!

The Half

We were able to enjoy a beautiful weekend in Sunriver and LaPine, OR. We camped at Uncle Ken and Aunt Dorothy's campsite in LaPine and enjoyed the calm. We also visited the very fun resort-type town of Sunriver where we did a half-marathon on Saturday morning.
This was my first year but there's a tradition with some families in my church to do the half-marathon and have a carb-loading dinner the night before. Tiffany and her mom Karen were gracious enough to host this year. I remembered to pull out the camera at one point and got this cute shot of my boys playing with her youngest

Saturday morning was Max's birthday but I didn't say happy birthday to him before we left rather early. I wanted to see this instead of a hyper, excited Max at 6:30am

Then we did the race. Kate and Geniel were superstars and did great. I'm glad I did it, but definitely need more training if I'm going to pass the tortoise next year! :) It really is about just keeping one foot in front of the other. Next time, I will NOT sleep on an air mattress the night before! :)
