Roommate Reunion

Here's what happens when 3 former roommates get together...
From March 2010

This picture doesn't quite do justice to the kids' ability to get dirt all over the living and dining rooms. This is after having a conversation about how single men can be oblivious. Ummm...I think we were feeling a bit sheepish after that. The only way we figured out anything was going on was when Max came in and said, "we're making a BIG mess!"
Okay, so more fun stuff...
Sweet baby Alex who has disappearing eyes when he smiles. So cute!

This picture really isn't complete without Doug there on his computer but Max is just wanting to be like the other Epperson males. Who will count with me? That's 4 men/boys on 4 different computers. Nothing like a little family bonding??!??

The "Jesus Made" Roadtrip

Tony was able to fly out to see his brother get married in South Carolina. He had a great time. As much as we would have loved to have been there, we are just glad Tony was able to go. Tony sent me pics on the cell phone the whole time so it was fun seeing everything even though we weren't there. During a little downtime between the wedding and reception, Tony and his parents toured Charleston. Tony sent me a pic of the horse drawn carriage ride they took in historic Charleston. Anybody who knows me knows that I love exploring, touring, adventure, etc. I LOVE road trips and I LOVE going to new places. So, I'll admit, when I saw pics of Tony's adventure (which will be posted about when we get more pics), I had to have one of my own. Since I have no kids in school, we just went. We drove to Snoqualmie Falls (a little over an hour away) and then took beautiful country roads to the beautiful little town of Sammamish where there I'd found a killer deal on Craigslist. We had fun. Two great memories from this little trip were that Max started thinking the word "taco" was hilarious to say in different voices and he was making Ryan laugh. Random! And also, as we were driving along country roads, seeing cows, beautiful trees, wildflowers, etc., Max started pointing out things that Jesus made. "Mom, mom, Jesus made the trees". "Jesus made the flowers", etc. I loved it!

Pinewood Derby Practice

We got to have the Mathis family over for dinner while Tony helped Jarom work on his pinewood derby car. Then the boys played outside and were absolutely hilarious. Thanks again guys, for a fantastic evening! Check out how Jarom did here

So In Love!

Congratulations Mike and Nicole! Well, almost...but Mike...I hate to break it to you. You have some last minute competition. This morning Max was telling me how daddy, Grandma and Grandpa flew on a big airplane to see you get married in the temple. I told him you were marrying Nicole. Then Max told me that he was going to the temple to get married so I asked who he was going to marry. That's right, you guessed it...Nicole. I broke it gently to him that YOU were marrying Nicole, so, he decided to marry his friend Kelsee instead. I don't think I'll tell Nicole that she has more options since your wedding is only hours away (and I'm pretty sure you guys aren't going to be online before then)! ; )

Congratulations again you two! We are there in spirit!

Rockets

Max loves rockets. Tonight after reading a few stories, I decided to make one up. The gist of it is that a little boy named Max with a baby brother decided he wanted to make a rocket so he made one out of a box. Then he went into the box, counted down and blasted off into the sky. He passed a bird, an airplane, stars and then he got to the moon before he realized he should be home for dinner. He went around the moon, past the stars, past a helicopter, past a monkey in the tree and landed back in his room. Max loved this story and as soon as it was over he wanted to go back in the rocket. I asked him where he was going to fly this time. His answer? "MONTANA" After a trip to Montana, he went to Washington D.C as well. I think we may be making something like this soon.
