We also visited the Museum of Glass in Tacoma. It was a glass kind of weekend.
We loved seeing the visiting artist in the Hot Shop. It was Laura Donefer and she was amazing. The few times I've been lucky to see glass blowing in action, I've seen vases and bowls. Laura was doing an abstract art piece to represent grief and loss because she just loss her parents. I was grateful that she was willing to share her pain because the art process was beautiful. The scratched and dug at the warm glass and pushed it out from the inside. We can't wait to see the finished product.
