We saw Caspar Babypants again (front row, baby ; ) with Kristin and her boys. It was so much fun. Okay, Ryan was tired and glued to my lap and the other boys had to warm up to it (Max had his hands covering his ears in the beginning), but Kristin and I had fun, lol. They are a fun show. Ryan loved that some of the percussion instruments were fruit. He would call out, "nana, nana" and point. The sound quality is not so much quality, but here's a video:
I wanted to incorporate more fun traditions into our Christmas season. So we're Europeanizing our home a bit. We celebrated St. Nicolas Day by filling the boys' shoes with candy. I just put their tennis shoes out, not exactly what St. Nicolas had in mind, but it worked for us.
We got our tree on the 4th. It's a beautiful tree but because it's a noble and we paid by the foot, we got a very short tree, haha! We just put it on a stand to make it taller. The boys had fun trekking through the mud at the Christmas tree farm. Max even helped daddy cut the tree.
I had court today for my CASA case and I checked my messages only to hear... "Debbie, I'm in the ER at St. Vincent's hospital. I cut my hand and I'm getting stitches." Okay, thankfully the second part of that message wasn't as horrifying as hearing that he was in a plane crash. ; ) So Tony was fixing a de-icer in Billings, MT and cut his hand with a razor blade. He finished fixing the de-icer while he held cotton on his bad hand. The company insisted he go to the ER so he did and got 2 stitches. Both of his parents work at the hospital in Billings so they actually got to go see him. And he still made it on the flight home at 2pm. Another day made all the more exciting by one of Tony's adventures!
When in Renton, do as the Rentonians do. Gene Coulon Memorial Park has a little waterfront area with an Ivars and a hamburger restaurant. Every year they do Clam Lights which is free, so we went. They also have a "parade of boats" which are all lighted up. Of course the pics don't do anything justice and you'll have to check back later for when I'm able to upload my videos, but this was a lot of fun for the boys (and me).
Well, now that we're back, it's time to post pictures of our Thanksgiving holiday. Both boys and myself had head colds so we didn't play in the snow much...but...
Tony and I have been married 15 years and have 3 sweet boys and one darling girl. We love family time, traveling, exploring, flying and laughing. Tony is an amazing pilot and airplane mechanic and I'm a social worker turned work-from-home mom.
