Cozy

With all the fun in the snow, we've also been very cozy!  The fireplace has been on, books have been read, games have been played, shows have been watched.  Tony has been keeping our hummingbird friends fed.  He brings in the feeders and makes sure any ice that has formed is removed.  I love his kind heart.  Evelyn enjoyed a spa moment when she used her bath bomb to take a warm bath and even had a candle going  My kinda girl!

And More Snow!

Today we went to the park to try the steep hill.  There were lots of kids there getting air off the ramp at the bottom.  The kids also loved throwing snowballs on the frozen lake because it made a fun sound.

Snow!

Christmas 2021

Christmas morning is always magical with the lights shining.  We decided that 6:30 was the earliest the kids could come up so they were great and waited.  Then we opened stockings and rested with Avi.

We had our traditional waffle breakfast before opening presents.

We even had a white Christmas and watched "Flutter" as he sat still watching the snow.

Our Christmas dinner was Chinese food and we enjoyed it while watching, "A Christmas Story".  It was such a nice Christmas.

Merry Christmas 2021!

Regardless of the look on Jason's face, we've had a great 2021!  There have been moments for sure, but overall, we have each other and our health so what more could we want?

Evelyn turned 8 this year.  She chose to be baptized and it was a very special day.  She is in the 2nd grade and loves wolves, unicorns, drawing (all the time), riding her bike and playing with friends.

Jase turned 9 and is in the 4th grade.  He loves video games, riding his bike, swimming, reading and playing with friends.  He played baseball this summer and loved it!  I'm sure we say this every year but Jase continues to amaze us with his love of Math.  I mean, Tony and I spent a lot of time NOT liking Math so to have a kid who loves it so much is mind boggling.

Ryan turned 12 this year and is in the 7th grade.  He continues to play trumpet, swim and even tried wrestling this year and really liked it.  He is always telling jokes and finding puns.  He will tell great dad jokes in the future.  He's already well practiced.

Max is 14 and a freshman in high school.  He also started going to early morning seminary (a before school scripture study class).  He ran for and became Freshman senator.  He also tried water polo this year.  He was reluctant but he really likes it.  Even though swim team was what he really wanted to do, now that it's swim team season, he misses water polo because it has "more going on".

Deb works as a paraeducator in a special education preschool.  Every day is a different adventure.  Having all the same holidays off as the kids is fantastic!

Tony continues to work on the military side of Boeing as a tooling engineer.  Sometimes he has to travel to San Antonio for work which he likes but he misses being home and being part of the "getting all the kids where they need to be" craziness.

We love staying connected with family and friends!  We love hearing your updates!  We wish you well as we start a new year!

Christmas Eve Nativity

We had a Shepherd's dinner and enjoyed a beautiful video about the nativity.  Then we acted out the nativity and sang Christmas songs.  Afterwards Ryan read, "The Night Before Christmas", we took some pics and the kids went downstairs for a sibling sleepover.  Tony and I did our tradition of watching, "It's a Wonderful Life" while wrapping our presents.  Spending time together and celebrating the birth of our Savior has been pretty special.
