Jase in 2nd Grade

Jase took a picture of his reading spot to show his teacher.  Ms. Vance has been keeping in contact with students and families with the Seesaw app.  I decided to go through and save all of the pictures that she has sent to us.  These cute pictures show Jason and his 2nd grade friends.

My Turn to Take Care of the Home Front

To put an offer on a house we wanted, we had to list our house within five days.  Then after seeing three houses, we decided to put an offer on the third house we saw.  They accepted our contingent offer and the inspection went well.  Then the day before we listed our home, the seller gave us the bump clause.  She had another offer and if we didn't sell our house in 5 days, she would give the house to the other offer.  This was disheartening, but we prayed and knew that it would be okay.  Either we'd get the house or we would keep looking.  What was meant to be would be.  So we listed our house and Tony had people calling to see it right away.  We got three offers the day after it listed and it sold within 34 hours.  We had no idea it would sell so fast so we made plans for me to fly back and take care of things while Tony had a work trip in San Antonio.

So I'm back with the animals and taking care of work, the house needs and PTA.  I miss my kids like crazy though.  It's very strange to be away from them for so long.

The Japanese Maple has leaves now and the tulips look beautiful.  I need to take pictures of all of the flowers in the yard.

Happy Anniversary Grandma and Grandpa

April is a good month is our family.  Both sets of grandparents were married in April.  Grandma and Grandpa Leach were married on the 9th and 10th and Grandma and Grandpa Epperson were married on April 23rd.  We woke up and made French Toast which is Grandpa's favorite breakfast.

When the kids were outside before our walk, Jase fell down and ran in with a bloody mouth.  His snaggle tooth was bloody and super loose but was still hanging on.  After calming down, and gargling salt water, Jase allowed me to pull on the tooth.  I put a little tissue around it so it wasn't so slick and pulled.  It didn't quite come out but when Jase felt it, it came out in his hand.  Finally!

Then we walked around the lake which was beautiful.  The kids loved seeing the ground squirrels and we decided we needed to come back and bring them acorns.

Jase had a zoom call with his class and showed them his upcycled "marble maze" for bouncy balls.

Acorn Park

This park isn't called Acorn Park, but the kids wanted to show me this park because it's where they found acorns and then roasted them.  We walked along the river and gathered acorns, climbed trees and played 3 Billy Goats Gruff over the bridge.

Zoom Meeting Attire

I had a zoom meeting with Liat and the person who will be taking over my position after I was back in Reno.  I did the typical "business on top and comfy on the bottom" look.

Renton Home Befores and Afters

We have loved this house for almost 6 years.  We have redone flooring, painted, moved the fence up on the left side, replaced the bathtub, appliances, kitchen sink, gate, back retaining wall and made it our own.  The only thing we weren't able to do in time to sell the house because of how quickly everything was moving, is repaint the decking.  I love looking at the before and after pictures. This home has been wonderful, with wonderful neighbors. :)

These pictures are from Redfin when we bought it
