First Youth Activities of 2025

Ev had her first YW activity.  They did several get -to-know-you games and all of the new girls got a temple bag.  

I serve in the children's program and help with the girl's activities.  Our first activity, we did some get-to-know-you games and Ruby taught the other girls a fun dance.

 

The Kids are Growing Up

Some changes for the kids.  Jason's Deacon Quorum changed.  Some boys became a part of the Teacher's Quorum and some of the 11 year old boys became Deacons.  It is a great group of boys!

Evelyn is no longer in primary.  She is in the youth program at church with her brothers.  The young women in the ward are asked to greet people at church.  She was happy to help.

Ryan was ordained as a priest in the priest quorum.  Max was the person who ordained him.  There is a large group of priests.  Max is the assistant to the bishop and helps lead and organize the activities and lessons with his presidency.  

Tony and I can't believe all of our kids are old enough to be in the youth program but we are proud of kind people they are.  They are always happy to help others.

 

Last Saturday of Winter Break

 Evelyn got to hang out with her scout buddy, Everlie while the boys participated in our scout Christmas tree pick up fundraiser.  I have gotten so much organizing and project cleaning done which has been so nice!

Tony and I gifted each other a stair makeover!  Very exciting, we know!  But really, it is.  Tony and Nathan worked on the baseboards and stairs.  We are so grateful for Nathan being willing to help!  The kids played with friends.  Max even started his semester at Green River College--Go Gators, and I got some organizing done that I've been wanting to work on.  Evelyn had Alex spend the night.  It was a fun day!

New Year's Day Adventure

After sleeping in and prepping dinner, we went on a troll hunting adventure.  We've already met Oscar the Bird King on Vashon Island.  We drove by Frankie Feetsplinters in Ballard, but we had more to meet.  First, we went to Issaquah to meet Jakob Two Trees.

Next on our list was to have a real encounter with Frankie Feetsplinters.

Then we drove to Lincoln Park to meet Bruun Idun.  In the parking lot, we ran into the Ferlugas who were on a troll hunt too.  Max hasn't seen Kylie since 7th grade.  They were in the same kindergarten class.  It was so fun to see them.

Then we walked to the waterfront to meet Bruun Idun who was playing an instrument and has a beautiful view to see every day.  I love seeing the sound.  The water is amazing, even at dusk.  

The troll hunt was a success.  Now we just need to meet Pia the Peacekeeper on Bainbridge Island.

 

New Year's Eve 2024

We had a nice NYE at home.  Ryan and Max were at a youth dance and Jason was staying with the Kranzes.  So, Evelyn, Cami and Tony and I rang in the New Year with sparkling cider, our neighbor's fireworks and an impromptu dance party.

It's going to be a great year!
