Snow Day Part 2

We warmed up with hot chocolate (with candy canes) and played in the snow a little longer before heading home.

Snow Angels

Max and Ryan explored a little while Jase and I were stomping in the tall snow drifts (Tony was turning the car around and Evelyn was staying warm).  Max got "stuck" and Ryan rescued him and the hill they were exploring got named, "Booby Trap Hill"

So beautiful!

My turn for a snow angel!

I love that these kids love adventures as much as their parents.  Max, especially would have stayed forever!

Another way to play in the snow!

Snow Day Part 1

This two part post is brought to you by the accidental discovery of live photos.  We wanted to start the New Year off with an adventure so we drove an hour and twenty minutes to play! The kids loved sledding!  Jase and Evelyn started by just being pulled along on the sled, but they did venture down the big hill one time each with nervous laughs. :)

New Year's Eve

I didn't take too many pictures but we had a great day skating!  Max and Ryan are really coming into their own with their roller blades.  I've still got a ways to go! ; )

We started with skating and ice cream and then we enjoyed games, movies and fun.  Tiki Uno has quickly become a family favorite!

Here are the pics that we remembered to take!

We're so grateful for a new year to spend time with family and friends.  And it's almost our family's birthday!

IDEO Progress

This week while Tony was off of work, he was able to go do physical therapy every morning at the Hanger Clinic.

I joined him one of the mornings and was so happy to meet great people who are working towards improving lives.  Jared, did physical therapy with Tony and Ryan Blanck is the man who invented the IDEO brace.  Tony did jumping and running, two activities we didn't imagine he would be able to do with his injured leg.

We met people from all over the U.S. who came here to Gig Harbor, WA for this specific brace.

Here is Tony jumping:

Here is Tony running:

This brace is seriously an answer to so many prayers.

Pacific Science Center with Grandma!

Mom and I took the kids to the Pacific Science Center while Tony and dad put baseboards in. Yay!
The kids loved looking at the dinosaurs.

The butterfly room is always a favorite.  Beautiful butterflies flying all over.

The toddler room is great and I took the older boys to learn about motion and physics.  Then we joined mom and the babies back by the water and looked at the tide pool. :)

The outside of the Pacific Science Center.

The kids love the space needle but Jase does not want to go up.

There is a Dale Chihuly glass exhibit right now.  There's always fun things to see at the Seattle Center.

That night I took this picture of Evelyn in her new pajamas.  She is always in disguise.  The next morning we had to say good bye to Grandma and Grandpa.  It was so nice to have them celebrate with us and help in so many ways. :)
