Family Home Evening Fighting

We chose to attack each other with small guns for family home evening.  The family that plays together, stays together.  Well, and we pray together too, but at the park, we were running for our lives!

The kids were so cute!

It doesn't look like they're having fun at all!

Some changes

There's still a few more things to do to the boys' room but it's pretty much done.  Here are some of the cool additions that we put up the other night.

Not Professional Camping

We were invited to go camping with some good friends who live in Oregon.  They were going to stay at an RV campground in Chehalis.  We didn't have to worry about packing a tent or anything because they had plenty of room.  We were going to go down Friday night and come home Saturday night.  Well the heat, a hard session of PT for Tony and a bad traffic report had us just chill for the evening.  I visited a new family in the ward and then we went to bed early.  We were up first thing and off we went.  We traveled along beautiful country roads until we found the campsite.  It was fun to reconnect with friends and enjoy the beautiful day full of beautiful scenery and good times.

When we told Max the campground had a pool, he said that it was "not professional camping".  With the heat, we were so glad that it was not professional camping.

The boys loved walking Biscuit.

Jase loved riding on Alex's shoulders.

Max didn't say anything about the slip and slide being unprofessional.  They had so much fun.

I LOVE this sweet picture!

Mini Golf!

We're glad to know the Younger family!  They are such an awesome family!

Summer Mornings

require exploring in parks

swinging

and standing at the helm of mighty ships!  Full steam ahead!

Aye Aye Cap'n!

This Kid

jumped into the pool without a life jacket, pushed up off of the bottom of the pool and then reached out for help.  He did that on his own without jumping straight to my arms.  A celebration was had.  He was pretty proud of himself as were we!

Watching for the Blues

We took some friends with us to look for the Blue Angels.  First we looked for them on Duck Island.  They showed up flying in the distance and impressing every one of us.

While we watched from the distance while they practiced, we played at the beach.

Then we played 3 Flys Up and as we left the Blue Angels did their closest fly by yet!  It was awesome!

Neighborhood PIcnic

An excuse not to cook?  Sure!

On our way back from the water park last week, I got a message from my friend letting me know that the neighborhood association was having a summer picnic put on by the city.

We changed out of our swimming suits and headed over.  First I juggled multiple paper plates full of food (Tony was at scouts), then after the little ones were fed, we chatted and listened to the prize drawing results.

We won!  The wrapped basket contained a coupon for a free hair cut.  The boys were not impressed but I was.  Free stuff!

I loved chatting with people from the area and playing with the kids.

Here is one picture to commemorate the evening.  The kids loved this police dog.
