Christmas Adventure 2013---Utah!

After driving through the night, the boys woke up to snow!  We had to run through it when we took a rest stop.

Then we were off to stay with Kim, who is like my sister.  I got to meet Nora and she got to meet Evelyn!

The boys got to go sledding!

I got to hang out with some former roommates.  I'm disappointed that I took no photos.  I got to venture off and try Tai Pan Trading.
On Sunday night we went to Temple Square to see the lights.  Kim's family and Tony's cousin Kaytie's family joined us.

Jason loved looking outside at the snow and lights on Kim's porch.
On our way down south, I really wanted to stop at the BYU campus.  It's been several years since I've been.  The campus housing where I lived freshman year (Fugal Hall 187) was torn down.  Bye bye Heritage Halls :(

The SWKT is still there!  My home away from my home away from home.
I loved this school!  While we were there, Tony looked up a professor who was a bishop in Pennsylvania while he served there as a missionary.  It was fun to see him.  We made plans for a more extensive visit on the way back.

The snow's trying to hide it but the Y is up on the mountain.  We found it!

We traveled down, stopping in St. George to see a mission buddy of Tony's.  Then we stopped in Overton to see my brother Darin, his wife, Kris and my nephew, Drew.  After a quick visit there, we made the quick drive to Vegas to unpack and stay for awhile.

Jingle All the Way

Jingle is our elf on the shelf.  We have so much fun seeing all the adventures that Jingle gets into during the night while we are sleeping.  He colored on our kids' portraits, played submarine with bath toys.  One day he played army with the army men and got captured.  In this picture, he is reading a Christmas some of the toys.

A New Nativity

I've had a board for over a year that was ready to be made into this:

Ryan's Preschool Christmas Program

The big bummer of leaving when we did for Vegas was that we missed Ryan's preschool Christmas program.  His school always does such a great job.  Luckily we were able to see a practice and get some video.  It would have been fun to see all of the kids dressed up, though.

Some December Happenings

December was a busy month and a short month in Renton since we left on vacation on the 14th.  We decided to have just Tony and the boys go to see Santa and get cupcakes so the babies could get good sleep.  Then we hung out with friends and watched the Polar Express together.  For some reason, the Santa wasn't at the usual spot and so the boys just got Christmas cupcakes and decided that we would see Santa in Las Vegas instead. :)

Jason is 18 months! It's Nursery Time!

On December 8th, Jason turned 18 months old!  Hallalujah!  It's nursery time!  Jason is old enough for nursery class on Sundays!  Wahoo!  We had a nice couple that was willing to watch him for us while Tony taught and I had Evelyn, but I am so glad he can go and play with toys and see friends and have a lesson now.

He is 32 inches long (50th percentile for length)
He is 22 lbs. and 7 oz. (10th percentile for weight)
His head is 18 3/4 inches in circumference.

Jason is our hugger and kisser.  He is so much fun.  I love his little smile and fun personality.  We call him our little Toodle Bug because he's happy-go-lucky and toodles around playing and having a great time.

These pictures capture his personality.

Jason went back to his physical therapist for a re-evaluation.  She is pleased with how he is walking and moving.  No long term ramifications from the Torticollis.  He's doing great!  Here he is in the waiting room, waiting to see Crista, his therapist.

Our Grinch Dinner

One of the fun things that we did this December was have a Grinch dinner.  We had a Who Feast with Roast Beef, Who Pudding, Who Hash, etc.  We also watched the Grinch and then went to the Festival of the Nativity.
