Florida Vacation Part 1---Off to Florida

Traveling across country with 4 little people is no small task, but we were excited.  We packed and planned and things went pretty well.  We were lucky to meet up with my parents in the Houston, TX airport and fly the second leg of the trip with them.

We had a lot of people ask us about our Hawaiian shirts.  They were an idea Tony had.  He thought it would be easy to spot the kids in the busy airport is we were all wearing Hawaiian shirts.  And hey, we'll have appropriate attire the next time we go to a luau.

This is such a great picture.  What Epperson kids could be bored at an airport?  Evelyn already points out airplanes in the sky with an excited smile.

We got in at 9:52 Florida time and were greeted at the airport by Dave, Anna and Darin. :)

The next morning we relaxed at Dave's house.  They have a beautiful home with a pool.  Max the fish would love to have a pool.

Evelyn loved the kitty.  Natalia was oh so lucky to have little Evelyn squeal every time she saw her.

Our kids love their cousins.  They don't get to see them enough so they loved swimming and playing Star Wars and everything with their cousins.

An Important Reason to Come Together

With two brothers in the military, one living in a foreign country, having babies and a few other extenuating circumstances, it has been hard for my whole family to get together.  However, when it came time to celebrate mom and dad's 50th anniversary, we had to do whatever it took to make it happen.  We were all able to get together in Florida where Dave is stationed.

My parents are amazing.  They have such an amazing dedication to each other and to their children.  No marriage is perfect but anyone who knows my parents could never doubt that they were 100% loyal to each other.

They met at an LDS church dance.  They were married in a church and then the next day they were sealed for time and all eternity in the Los Angeles LDS temple. Their anniversaries are April 9th and 10th, 1965. :)

Florida Vacation Part 10---Air Force Space and Missile Museum and Hanging with Cousins

Uncle Dave took us to the Air Force Space and Missile Museum.  It was fun to see different space capsules and rocket models.

We also had fun hanging at the beach house and at the park that was right across the street.
